China has decided to take a stand and put its foot down when it comes to its people and casinos. Over the past years, the casino company Crown has been doing well in regard to its total revenue. However, there has been some recruiting going on that will be ended soon. Within the Crown company, certain employees held positions that required them to seek out high rollers in other countries and bring them along with their stacks of money into the casino. In order to do this, representatives would do things such as treat wealthy Chinese men to things like expensiveness dinner and drinks. Yet in China, the act of gambling is still illegal. There are certain things that permit the Chinese to still be at a casino, but the act of many wealthy ones spending large amounts of money at a time to support other markets just wasn't an option anymore. Last year, 1/3 of Crown's total revenue in the casino came from the recruitment of foreign investors, China being a key player. After China cracks down how many jobs will be lost and what will be the financial outcome of Crown? This shouldn't be illegal in my opinion, it's only a business tactic to take money from those who can afford to loose it.
