A Slam to Samsung

Upon the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, a recall has been issued to over 2.5 million phones world wide due to defective batteries. In regards to phone batteries igniting when plugged into charge, the Samsung company had to figure out how to get such a used daily tool out of the hands of the people. To start things off, Samsung was supposed to contact the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission with 24 hours of being aware of the defect. However Samsung failed to do so. This then led to a late release of information from the CPSC to the US people. People were asked to give the phones up but so many people use them for daily work that it was just too impractical. Samsung is now working with carriers to distribute replacement phones along with producing a software to help stimulate the phone batteries while charging. The major concern of the matter though from an economic standpoint is how will this effect the company's overall wellness? With big competitors having new advances like apple too, this could possibly be the start of a financial downfall.
